Busy, Busy...
So I've been very busy trying to find a job, traveling to see family, decorating the house, hosting gatherings, etc. It as if I was making the most of October for some reason. But I'm back and thinking about what to make next. I recently received a custom order from a fellow easy seller for some fabric sleeves which she'll use as part of her packaging. This inspired me to use the leftover fabric to make fabric sleeves and pouches for gift-giving, packaging and the like. I'm also cooking up some 2014 calendar and holiday card ideas.
Also currently inspired by Arcade Fire's latest and greatest: Reflektor.

Today
Getting excited to go on a field trip today with a friend. We're spending our afternoon at a Miami staple, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. I'm also excited about some new inventory. I've got some previews below. Check back later today for a photo narrative of our adventure.

Ahoy Matey!
I'm very inspired by the summer sky and sea, and have some new stuff in the works. One drawing is already up in the shop now. Here's a detail:
Hope you're having a great first-of-the-month-on-a-Monday!

Feeling Fruity
I've been working on some fancy fruit and like where they're going. Trying to decide who is next--will it be strawberry or guava? Think I might buy some of both and decide...
June 23rd - P.S. I went with peaches and the set is available in the store now!

New Inventory and More
Hello, hello!
New Inventory
There's new inventory at the shop and its inspired by my love of native design and geometry. I used watercolor to do some rough but deliberate sketches of shapes, perfectly placing them on the page and gave them some life with a touch of gold. Each shape has a slightly mirrored opaque shape over it in either rose or yellow gold. I used a technique that mimics screen printing so that the sketchy lines and straight lines would communicate in a fun way. The gold has a slight sparkle and sheen to it and looks great when the light hits it. Here's a preview:
